Happy International Day of Human Space Flight!

Happy International Day of Human Space Flight!

Every year on April 12, the world celebrates the International Day of Human Space Flight.

On this day in 1961, cosmonaut Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin first flew around the planet Earth in the orbital spacecraft “Vostok”. The flight, which the whole world watched with admiration, lasted 108 minutes.

Decades later, we, citizens of Belarus, can say that our country has its own path of development of the space industry. In cooperation with Russia and China, Belarus has successfully implemented a number of space projects, including BELINTERSAT.

In his congratulations today, April 12, the President of the country A.G. Lukashenko noted: “We are creating new satellites, the most modern equipment, we are training our own personnel, which confirms the image of Belarus as a high-tech country. I am confident that the space industry will continue to develop steadily, being a driver of the national economy,” A. G. Lukashenko emphasized.

The Belintersat team heartily congratulates everyone on this wonderful event.

Let new peaks be conquered and new expanses explored!

Happy Cosmonautics Day!
