The Republican Center for Emergency Management and Response of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus expressed gratitude to Belintersat for its assistance in creating a satellite communications network, which has proven successful in providing communications and command and control of forces and resources during emergency response.
Satellite communications provided under the National Center for Emergency Management and Response has become an integral part of rescue operations during emergencies in remote areas of Belarus, where specialists lack access to standard communications infrastructure. However, even in such conditions, emergency response units must effectively carry out all necessary work, which often determines whether human lives are saved.
This requires a high level of interaction between specialists directly at the scene of an emergency and the command staff. In this context, operational communications are not a luxury, but a vital necessity.
Thanks to Belintersat’s collaboration on the creation of satellite communication channels based on VSAT technology, emergency response specialists receive stable and autonomous communications during emergencies. This enables effective management of emergency response processes: timely transmission of critical information and rapid response to changing circumstances.
For example, the Belintersat satellite communications and data transmission system became the foundation for coordinating teams and ensuring safety during the suppression of a major peat fire in the Petrikov District of the Gomel Region.
Belintersat communications were used to deploy mobile command posts and temporary holding facilities at the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in Novaya Huta, designed to provide assistance to Ukrainian refugees.
The Belintersat satellite communications and data transmission system also played a crucial role in the aftermath of the hurricane that struck the Mozyr District.
These are just a few of the situations in which the Belarusian operator’s satellite communications were incorporated into the rapid response to emergency situations and adapted to specific conditions. Expanding the satellite communications network is in the interests of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus. To this end, in November 2025, Belintersat specialists will demonstrate to agency leaders the capabilities of modern satellite communications stations, designed to increase the chances of reliable communications even in the most critical situations.
