Representatives of Belintersat took part in the joint 52nd session of the Council and the 27th session of the Operations Committee of the International Organization of Space Communications “Intersputnik”, held at the invitation of the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Cuba on June 25, 2024 in the city of Varadero.
The agenda included making decisions on the work regulations, approving the report of the Operations Committee, the report of the Director General on the activities of the International Organization of Space Communications “Intersputnik”, the report on the implementation of the Financial Plan for 2023, the report of the Audit Commission for 2023, consideration of the current state and prospects for the development of the satellite communications industry, as well as approval of the preliminary agenda, dates, format and venue of regular sessions of the Council and the Operations Committee.
As part of expanding international cooperation, the Intersputnik International Space Station signed a cooperation agreement with the Regional African Satellite Communications Organization (RASCOM), which unites 45 African member countries.
The activities of the Intersputnik International Space Station, member countries and participants of the organization are aimed at further strengthening and developing comprehensive economic, scientific, technical, cultural and other relations within the framework of the development and operation of satellite communication systems in near-Earth space.
