On October 23, 2019, representatives of the General Directorate of Customs and Excise of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) headed by Deputy Director for IT Mr. Delphin Hamouli and Africa Union Financial Services (AUFS), a company of DRC, headed by National Director for Projects Mr. Cholwe Sikakwa, visited the Ground Control Station of the National Satellite Communications and Broadcasting System of the Republic of Belarus (Belintersat).
Director S.V. Prokopovich welcomed representatives of DRC organizations on the Belintersat’s behalf.
The guests were provided with information about the components and services of Belintersat and demonstrated the basic infrastructure of Belintersat’s Ground Control Station.
During the meeting, the guests exchanged their views with representatives of Belintersat on the issue of increasing demand for satellite communications services from interested organizations of the DRC and determining the most effective model of their provision.
The participants of the meeting representing the Democratic Republic of the Congo expressed their appreciation of the of Belintersat’s potential in meeting the DRC’ satellite communications services demand.
The participants of the meeting recognized that it would be mutually beneficial to continue to work together in order to contribute to increasing the availability of satellite communication services in the DRC.
